I do this at the root of my system drive: "c:\gs" This removes the spaces from the folder names and just makes Ghostscript behave better.
I find it is easier to create a folder called "gs" before I install Ghostscript.You will need to select the correct 32 or 64 bit version depending on your version of Windows. The latest version (as of this writing) is found here.
